Four Hindi titles arrive across theatres and streaming platforms from October 12 to 18, 2026. Two films open in cinemas on October 16, while two others debut on ZEE5 and Netflix during the same week.

The theatrical releases are Nayyi Navelli, a fantasy comedy starring Yami Gautam, and Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam, a biographical drama led by Rajkummar Rao. On streaming, the Malayalam drama Aasha arrives on ZEE5 with a Hindi dub, and the Hindi family drama Greater Kalesh premieres on Netflix.

Nayyi Navelli

Nayyi Navelli releases in theatres on October 16, 2026. The film is directed by Balaji Mohan and produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma under Colour Yellow Productions, in association with Amazon MGM Studios.

Yami Gautam plays Mohini, a new bride who marries into a chaotic household in Meerut. Her brother-in-law grows suspicious when her perfect homemaking skills begin to seem unnatural.

The cast includes Mita Vashisht, Sunita Rajwar, Aaditya Kulshreshth and Addinath M. Kothare. The film is a fantasy comedy drama timed for the Dussehra weekend.

Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam

Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam also opens in theatres on October 16, 2026. Rajkummar Rao plays the titular role of Ujjwal Nikam, the public prosecutor known for handling major criminal cases in India.

The film chronicles Nikam’s career and his high-stakes legal battles. Wamiqa Gabbi, Lalit Prabhakar and Tarun Sharma round out the cast. The biographical drama focuses on Nikam’s work on landmark cases in Indian history.

Aasha

Aasha premieres on ZEE5 on October 16, 2026. The Malayalam drama will be available with Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada dubs alongside the original Malayalam version.

The film stars Urvashi, Joju George and Aishwarya Lekshmi in lead roles. It is written and directed by Safar Sanal and produced by Vinayaka Ajith.

Aasha had its theatrical release on September 11, 2026. The story follows a tense, character-driven narrative that received generally positive reviews during its cinema run.

Greater Kalesh

Greater Kalesh begins streaming on Netflix on October 17, 2026. The Hindi family drama stars Ahsaas Channa as Twinkle, a young woman who returns home for a surprise Diwali trip.

Secrets and disagreements test her family’s bonds during the visit. The cast also includes Supriya Shukla and Happy Ranajit. The series is produced for Netflix India.

Greater Kalesh is directed by a debutant filmmaker and runs as a limited series. It is the only new Hindi original series premiering on Netflix during the October 12 to 18 window.
